I am privileged to be a member of the nursing faculty at Inver Hills Community College.
My career in nursing began as a LPN when I graduated from a community college in 1994. I then worked in nursing while continuing my education to an Associate Degree RN through to a Masters Degree in Nursing focusing on Midwifery in 2003. As an LPN and RN, I have 10 years of combined experience in couplet care, labor and delivery, high-risk OB, outpatient maternity, and home care. I also have 4 years of experience as an independent advanced practice nurse.
Passions
Women's health, working with the underserved (especially Spanish speakers), teaching, holistic and alternative care, using technology efficiently and appropriately to improve our lives, and my wonderful family (not necesarily in that order!).
